A. Hugh Williams
Hugh Williams joined the Law Office of Hammad Matin in June 2016. His primary areas of practice are Criminal Defense and Protective and Peace orders. Hugh honed his skills though several years at a general practice firm, representing clients in civil and criminal cases, two years as a law clerk in the Circuit Courts for St. Mary’s and Harford Counties. While attending the University of Maryland School of Law, he worked full-time for the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, assisting victims of Identity Theft and working with State Legislators to enact consumer protection laws. He was recently elected Chair of the Town of La Plata Board of Zoning Appeals after having served as a member of the board for two years. He currently resides in La Plata with his family and brings his considerable skills to bear on behalf of clients in Charles, St. Mary’s, Calvert, and Prince George’s Counties.
